Does any one know, if Indian CA is valid in Switzerland to practise as "chartered Accountants" or does the Companies recognise this degree to recruit in their Accounting, finance departments...

Secondly, I heard from people that, there exists an office (within the canton) which attests the study certificates (other than EU, switzerland) . The attestation guarantees that a particular study is valid in switzerland. Does any one know, where this office is =

With respect to public practice, only EU qualifications obtained by citizens of the EU are automatically recognized and then only after passing a conversion exam. Interesting enough, EU qualifications obtained by non citizens are not recognized.

As regards industry, I expect you would be considered for positions where a knowledge of the local laws would not be required. However, having said that, work permits are hard to come by at present, so I would expect you will find it difficult.
