Re: PostFinance Prepaid Mastercard

Hi guys,

In my case I ended up (to my inconvenience) using my Romanian prepaid Visa Electron card...
In Romania, depending on the bank you either get a Maestro (which can be activated to work on the Internet as our banks there allow it; here I saw they agreed against it some time ago) or a prepaid Visa Electron.
Yes, that's the default debit card associated with an account.
No reload fees, normal conditions of a debit card apply.
Also, in the ebanking I can see any card account (even a credit card one) as a separate IBAN to which I can transfer money for loading it.
Thinking that Switzerland is the mother land of banking (hopefully also for the "poor" not only for the rich guys), is there any banking service which allows you to load your prepaid card instantly given the fact that you also have a main account with them ?
So far, this is my impossible dream.
I have given up my existing prepaid card with PF because it took 3 days to transfer money via that extra procedure (which I believe is a manual one; maybe someone looks at the statements and does the data input depending on the credit card mentioned in the "details" field) when I already had my bank account with them.
In 3 days I can get money on the Romanian one which has much better conditions.

So, anyone of you know of a prepaid credit card service where in case you already have an account with the bank offering it, then you can transfer instantly between the 2 accounts ?

P.S. I also have a colleague from France who has the same stuff as I do. Is really a country full of banks more lacking in user-friendly service than others which are not oriented in this domain as much ?

Thanks,
Mihai

Re: PostFinance Prepaid Mastercard

This is answered in a previous post. You need to register the card in e-banking and you'll be able to see two entries. One for the last statement and one for the current available balance.
