as a soon-to-be new Swiss resident, I would like to connect with an accountant (preferably in the Ticino/Lugano area) who specializes in taxation for self-employed EEA citizens/Swiss residents having foreign business interests/assets. Please only recommend an accountant who really knows his stuff. please PM me if you prefer.

You have narrowed options by specifying Ticino. Most of us here are centred in Zurich/Aargau or Geneva/Lausanne.

As an example, I've never met my accountant: she's near Basel and everything is done via email.

I have one to recommend but they are located in zurich....nevertheless, in the many years that they have done my taxes, I only met them once because of a follow up business introduction that required a consultation. They are great, knowledgeable, and proactive. They have done a few "extras" - like translation of text for the tax authorities, follow up calls on letters received from tax people, never once charging me for this outside of the fees for filing my tax return (which are very reasonable), even when I offered. I have recommended them numerous times and all my friends have had very good experience with them. They are an entrepreneur husband/wife team, so you feel good supporting them with your business as well. If you like, PM me and I will send you the details. Good luck.
