Hi Folks,

I've heard that living in Zurich has a differing rate of tax compared to somewhere further outof the city. Can anyone advise me on the facts here and if possible show in real terms the potential savings?

I am planning to move to Zurich in the coming few weeks and will be based in Zurich for work.

Any advice much appreciated.

That is very true. You can go to www.homegate.ch , and there
is a tax calculator there. You can compare two places by entering
"Moving from" and "Moving To".

Also look at the Train/Bus connections to your workplace.

Every village in every canton sets it's own separate tax rate.
This calculator is from the government and is more complicated

Unless you are making 120K per year it doesnt matter which town you live in, you will pay the same tax as a foreigner.
