No argument from me. At home it is the fresh grind and a manual expresso machine. I dont mind cleaning up my own mess

Second the vote for Schwarzenbach coffee, when I can be bothered going out of my way for coffee beans.

We did exactly the same thing after arriving in Switzerland, even went through the whole Nespresso debate. We ended up with the all singing all dancing completely automatic Swiss made coffee machine which we bought at Fust. The machine came with free coffee for one year and we have found it to be quite good. They supply a Novaroma Premium from Merkur Kaffee.

Oddly enough Denner brand Familia coffee is IMHO excellent coffee for the price. No horrible shakes or magerbrennen after a cup or 2 or 3.

Restaurant Bohemia, Kreuzplatz, sells its own brand - various flavours. Can highly recommend.
