Re: Weetabix

Weetabix began in Australia & NZ, moved to South Africa, and then to the UK. Now it's also in production in Canada,
and since May 2012 is Chinese owned by Bright Food, wholly owned by the Chinese state! (That will please Jeremy Corbyn)

Change your glasses and re-read the thread... about Weetabix Yes, you has us all confused. I'm talking about the ones on Medea Fleecestealer photo. They might be same products after all, just a different branding in different part of the world.

To be accurate, Weetabix is an inferior version of Weet-Bix.
Are Penguins an inferior version of Tim-Tampons?

Actually, no. For 8.90chf you can get a small jar from bider and tanner. Or do what I did and go to England and get 15 jars for £1.99 each. If you're desperate I may be able to spare 1 single jar.
Perhaps I should have said "unaffordable" instead of "unavailable". Thanks for the offer, but I'm not a big fan. My son is the designated Vegemite eater, and I have a 1kg jar of the stuff in the kitchen cupboard for his exclusive use. I think it expired some time in 2013 but Vegemite is the only thing that would outlast cockroaches in a nuclear war, so I'm sure it'll be fine for another decade or two.

That's like saying that Macedonia and Albania are the same country.

You got it -- as explained in this British review!

I said "might". Never tried your brand, so I cannot say if is the same. Example: Rexona is a deodorant brand manufactured by British-Dutch company Unilever. While marketed under the Rexona name in most countries, it is known as Sure in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Thant is what I wanted to say.

I can confirm that Weet-Bix is useless at keeping your underarms fresh. I can't be certain about Weetabix, though.

Just for the record, after much trial and error, the only way to eat weetabix in a car is by opening the window and waiting for the curves so the crumbs get swept out reasonably well.
And chewing. Lots of dry, dry chewing.
Have you tried spreading unsalted butter on them? Not only does it help avoid the crumbs, but it also makes them actually taste of something.

What a shame you can't get Weet-Bix here.
You could have done a controlled experiment and put a Weet-Bix in one armpit and a Weetabix in the other* for a day and documented the results.

*this would assume that you perspire at equal rates in both pits of course.

Unfortunately our old Ford's windows were quite small so we couldn't fit the head, the hand holding the Weet-Bix AND a second hand with a butter knife through it.

Just use the whole pack then,

sandwiched between two weetabix.

Re: Weetabix

Anyone desperate for vegemite I have two jars available. No claims on the use-by date...

Am in the process of trying to work out how to ship minties and fantales over for a special Christmas thing...

Edited to add: Ps. Weet-Bix and 'Weetabix' are definitely not the same thing... weetbix - the Australian ones, are definitely superior...
