Also, when I make Milanese, it's normally to accompany Ossi Bucchi!

Oh, god, how I miss that store. I'm likely not the first, nor the last, to say how limited the variety is here and how dear that little variety is but....I'm at a loss to explain my lack of adaptation to the food available here. | | | Re: Making dinner for two under 10CHF?
Not a recipe, more of an algorithm:
1) Stop at Migros on the way home. Buy whatever veggies are 50% off and non-bio. (50% off bio veggies = full price normal veggies)
2) Grab some potatoes just in case (you can never have too many potatoes) and another head of garlic (ditto).
3) Assess your veggie haul.
4) If it looks like a salad, buy some cheap/50% off meat to go with it and call it a Fitness Teller. (Best part is you can do this with just about any meat: "Bauernbratwurst Fitness Teller" is a regular feature at our house when there's nothing else on sale.)
5) If it's more substantial veggies (fennel, eggplant) then have them with potatoes, rice or cornbread and call it a Proper Dinner.
6) If there aren't any vegetables on sale, go home and make a curry with your potatoes and your head of garlic and whatever else you've got in the cupboard. (We are having aloo gobi tonight for precisely this reason.)
There you go! Guaranteed <10CHF without even thinking about it. This is my standard routine when I can't be bothered to actually plan a meal.
