Re: Tassimo vs Dolce Gusto? - advice please

Lol, as Laura I'm also a Nespresso fan, but I gotta say that my parents have Tassimo and my girlfriend Dolce Gusto and I love the three of them... Must be just because I'm a coffee lover or something like that...

At one point I had to choose betweent tassimo or dolce gusto, because my girlfriend and I had to go to live together, so she said, no Nespresso... And I said, ok so I guess I have to pick one!! Might sound silly but you trust me, coffee is an important subject for me :P Anyways, I ended up looking around all the internet, even using different languages and using the translator and all that. I ended checking this review http://cafeterasexpress.net/tassimo-o-dolce-gusto/ cause all of them tell you that both are ok, but this last one said that the author prefers tassimo, so we ended up getting a t20 like that one and guess what... I don't like it! haha

So I guess what I'm trying to say is... Try both, check prices and then pick yourself the one you believe is the best

I use a Dolce-Gusto for 2 years now, daily for coffee and thee capsules and I am quite happy with it. The machine is small and therefore does not require much space. On the other hand you need to fill water more often (when full you can easily fill 3 large cup of thee).

Re: Tassimo vs Dolce Gusto? - advice please

I am also currently struggling with the Tassimo vs Dolce Gusto "dilemma". I tried a Dolce Gusto the other day and I loved the Latte, and I hear the Cappucino version is also very good.

tassimo seems to have more range but i can't see me using the machine for anything but a morning cup of Cappucino or Latte (which are the only coffees I drink). If I want tea I make it with tea bags, and if I want hot chocolate I will use something more luxurious.

So basically, if I only want coffee I am leaning towards the Dolce Gusto... just a shame that there are no compatible cartridges for them like with Nespresso.

EDIT - Ahh I stand corrected, there are compatibles... http://www.caffe.com/en/capsules/dol...cts9marmod.htm

I went for the Dolce Gusto in the end. I only use it for Cappuccino and Espresso (Barista pods). Both are excellent and the pods are easy to find.
