| | | Swisspea's shopping tours
Hi,
After a bit of an overwhelming year of work, I am ready to get back into the shopping tours.
If you would like to do the following tours, please PM me and I'll be inspired to book a few in to the social calendar.
1. Foods of the world.
2. Handcrafts and Sewing supplies.
3. Second hand shopping.
Here's a rough description:
Foods of the World
Meet at Zurich HB. From there we walk about 2km and find the Asian, Thai, Mexican, Turkish and Indian groceries, and return to Zurich HB in about 2 hours. If I run the tour on a Saturday we sometimes have a lunch option afterwards.
Handcrafts and Sewing Supplies.
Meet in the Bahnhofstrasse, find the beading/sewing/craft/stationery/fabric shops. Discuss other sources of crafting/sewing supplies, swap ideas and get inspired !
Second-Hand shopping
I make regular trips to Tigel (Seefeld), Brocki-Land (near Sihlcity) and the Zürcher Brockenhouse (walk from Zurich HB) - so if you'd like a guide or someone to give tips on where to find stuff second-hand, book a tour!
I don't charge for the tours, it's just a fun way to meet people and share tips, and a good excuse to go shopping! Swisspea

Me too! I'm always passing brocki type places but never had the time to go in and rummage, or have had my baby with me so can't.

PM sent - one and three for me. I wish I could be more "crafty" with needle and thread (just do the basic mending now), knitting, etc. perhaps one day when I have more time... |

Next shopping tour is scheduled for Thursday next week - it will be the 'foods of the world'. 27th October 2011.
We'll meet at Zurich HB between 9:30 and 9:45am. Tour takes about 2 hours.
Please PM me if you are interested and I'll give you my mobile phone numbed and the details of the exact meeting point.

I have a social group on the forum, too. I've sent invitations to join this group via the forum 'group' function - to a few people who posted here and on some of the other threads...if you want to be added, please let me know!

I can do a tour this Saturday (22nd October) and 5th November.
One can be a craft tour, and the other one for foods of the world.
If you want to do either tour, PM me with which date and option is best and if I get 2-3 people, I'll add the event to the forum social calendar. | | The following 2 users would like to thank swisspea for this useful post:

If you do the foods of the world on the 22, I am in Zurich and I will participate with pleasure. The 5th of november I will be out of town.
Let us know, it'd be lovely to participate and meet you |

OK, place your votes - if I do a tour Saturday 22nd October (this week) - do you want to do the food tour or the craft one ?
...and please, if you cast your vote, you must make every effort to attend (especially if the weather is cold, windy or wet)...

Due to life turns, I'd rather have the crafty one, since I am looking for some supplies for the new home. But since Federica wants to come and she is not interested in the crafty stuff, I think food is better, otherwise she won't come hihi ^^
I will join later also the crafty tour | | This user would like to thank Helm for this useful post:

Will come with a sturdy shopping bag and I am really, really excited to get ingredients for some new recipes | Quote: | | | | | Due to life turns, I'd rather have the crafty one, since I am looking for some supplies for the new home.
