My friend has a problem to find chocolate chip in Zurich. Is there anyone who knows where she can buy it?

You can find "Schoko-Würfeli" in the baking section of most large Coop or Migros stores. They're just squarish bits of chocolate, not the shape you might be expecting, but they'll work for most recipes. (To get real, chocolate-chip-shaped chocolate chips you'll have to buy them from an American food shop.)

They are called chocolate drops (Tropfchen) and are delicious. They are a bit smaller than the US version but are definitely tastier.

Buy a bar of chocolate, unwrap, place in a plastic bag, bash with a rolling pin with wild abandon until the desired choc chips have been achieved.
Eat the bits which are the wrong size. Waste not, want not.

Or even go to the Coop where they sell beautiful, round choc chips - 'Perles de Chocolat',
made with 70% Ecuadorian cocoa. (Coop Fine Food)
The pack advertises iself as being for 'chocolat chaud' but.........

One of my US colleagues brought over some Candy Corn recently and left it in a jar in the office. Sadly I found myself actually eating it  Still, not as bad as the Twinkies someone else brought over a while back. They never did get eaten, at least no more than one bite per piece, when the rest was quickly disposed of.

I usually get chocolate "sticks" from Aldi (or if you want some that are a name brand, I've seen After Eight sticks around here someplace) as they're easy to slice into pieces.
Last time I made tollhouse cookies, I used a packet of mint chocolate sticks and one block of "kuchenschocolade" from Coop. The sticks were sliced into chip sized pieces, the bar broken up.
