Beer in football stadiums? (FCBasel vs. ManU tonight!)
Hello, does anyone know if they sell beer in the stadiums during Champions League games?
If not, I might as well drive to the stadium tonight...
Thank you!

Can't you do it like everyone else, get drunk prior to the game and use public transportation?
Nice intro by the way

Not sure about St. Jakob, but in Bern you can buy beer in the bars outside the stadium (but actually part of the stadium complex), but only alcohol-free beer inside the stadium itself . Not sure if this is a nationwide law though.

Sort of.
They have Heineken and I'm fairly sure it's a low-alcohol (around 2%) version for sports events. Whether that counts as beer is up to you - my taste buds aren't convinced

For Swiss League games, you can do whatever you like with no problems.
When British teams come to visit, they lock the liquor cabinet. Can't argue really, have seen enough drunken football fan violence when we Brits visit anywhere.
