The operation is a success!

Yes, I managed to stuff 3kg+ of stuffing into a 6.4kg bird, as thankfully (for some unknown reason) they didn't totally mutilate it as is normally done here, and left the neck/crop skin, the skin at the other end, AND the wing tips!

Far too often I have to dislocate various joints so that I can close it up, even less stuffed, but today was a breeze.

Thank you, Migros Zumikon!

Tom

Well, in this particular oven, I have fit 10kg+ in the past, so no problem.

In my own (slightly larger), I've cooked a 14kg turkey!

Wing tips? This bird is wearing shoes? Awesome.

Re: The operation is a success!

My mother would get up at the crack of dawn to put hers in the oven on Christmas day, but isn't almost two weeks early a little premature??

Ah, I guess you have one of those large plastic, brown in the bag affairs
