Couscous Time: Where to find good Merguez in CH?

Especially in winter we enjoy a good Couscous dish, however, it is impossible to find good Merguez around.

We used to buy them at the little butcher shop in downtown Saint Louis, but it seems to be closed now. We've tried the ones from the Albisriederplatz's butcher in Zurich, but they are as close to Merguez as Züritüütsch is to High German.

Anyone knows of good place to buy them, either in CH or France nearby the border (Saint-Louis or Mulhouse)?

I just on Thursday evening bought a package of Merguez in the Coop-Pronto at Zürich-Altstetten rail-station, and have one of them on the grill, after having had it treated with various spices. Beside the sausage is half an onion.

try going back to St. Louis on Saturday morning for the market. There are a few meat sellers there with some very tasty würst, including merguez.

Thanks for the suggestion, but as I am not in Basel, I rather buy a Merguez in Altstetten and do the required spicing myself. Just had such a Merguez from my grill, and it was marvellous.

Make your own merguez sausages or burges! There is a delicious merguez spice mix available at the webshop http://www.tea-n-spiceria.ch. You will love it!
