Going to relocate to Basel next spring.. Anyone knows if there is any Asian ( chinese or jap or korean)supermarket in Basel or nearby German or French towns? Googled on the net but can't seem to find any..
Also anyone knows of any online Asian grocery stores that does delivery to Basel? Those I found are mostly uk ones.. Any advise is appreciated thanks

There are several small'ish Asian grocers in Basel, most of the specialty things in them tend to be Thai and Indian (compared to Japanese or Korean I was more used to in the US) but definitely worth some exploring if you're unfamiliar.

There also is a fairly large one near SBB, it would be the Markthalle stop from the #1 tram line.

Between the two smallish stores and the larger one near SBB (coupled with more "mainstream" / common Japanese and Thai supplies from Coop), I've been able to satisfy most of my cravings as well as explore some new dishes.

There's a few small ones scattered around, with at least two or three around Clarastrasse (shopping area on the KleinBasel side), more Indian than Chinese, but with a good range of far Eastern products too.

But by far the best is New Asia Market. Proper sized shop with a huge range of products. Not sure if the online catalog lists everything they do - suspect not - but really there's just about any Far Eastern product you could imagine.

There is nowhere you can buy proper Japanese food in Basel. In New Asia Market, you can buy instant noodles, miso, rice vinegre, soya sauce, kimchi, etc, but most of the selection is Thai or Chinese. There you can buy cheap frozen sea food.

In Zurich, there are two good shops.
Yumihana (jap/kor)
Nishi (jap) delivery available

There is another one who does delivery.

Uchitomi (jap)

there is also one next to Burgfelderplatz. (Asien Supermarket).

and one close to the trainstation.

There is an Indian grocery shop near the SBB-in the alley behind Burger king. There is also a chiese supermarket on the same side and to the right of the SBB.Ritz.

Is there any parking by New Asia Market? I used to use the Asian grocery by the SBB, but there's no parking around for miles, which makes it very inconvenient.
