Re: Increasing KFC demand in CH?

Wonder how hard it would be to open a franchise in Switzerland? I don't think I've seen any PepsiCo-owned fast-food concepts anywhere in Switzerland, so it might require someone to commit to opening several locations?

You Brits are just as bad with your horrible KFC obsession as we Americans are with our brown sugar.

* minor, pedantic correction. KFC hasn't been owned by Pepsi since 1997, when Yum! was spun off as a separate company.

And yes, I looked into what franchising it in Switzerland would cost. And the answer was: considerably more than I had. They're not interested in licensing just a single restaurant.

No KFC please, Krankenkasse premiums are high enough here already.

Did they say there were problems in importing the battery chickens that are needed to maximise profits as they're illegal here in Switzerland?

Burger King also failed the first time around but seems to be doing fine now.

Maybe it's time for another try, KFC?

Not that I'm that much of a fan, but I'll prefer just about anything over yet another Döner place..

Re: Increasing KFC demand in CH?

How are the prices at KFC in Switzerland? The reason I ask, is because lastnight, here in Toronto, I bought a 20 pc chicken, large fries, large gravy, 2 large macaronni and 1 large colslaw , and it cost $55.00 Cnd., and my family of 7 ate, with leftovers of chicken.

There is no KFC in Switzerland, therefore there are no prices.

I thought I read somewhere that the company went under with a bang... so there is some debt left which Swiss people do not forget if the same company enters the country again...

Döner is btw great, but the ones in Switzerland sucked - cause meat is so expensive that they subsitute it with the cheapest crap that is legal here... (I know I said so before but the majority of "Döner" sold in Switzerland would be outright illegal to be labelled as Döner in Germany...)

Re: Increasing KFC demand in CH?

Sorry not a fan of KFC. It is many many years ago I had KFC in London, think it was around Queensway/Bayswater. It was not cooked through, threw it in the bin and never been back to any since. Problem with Franchises each shop will vary.

As said previously the price of chickens are a lot more than those battery ones they use.
