I got inspired to try Delia's recipe - see earlier message.

Worked really well, tasted excellent but I did not have the round forms. Still with marmite and dripping butter they tasted just like the real thing.

Ciao, David

I suppose any reference to aquatic sports in connection would then be in bad taste ?

Hello

My husband just discoved English muffins here a few weeks ago. We live in Basel, and close to the border in Germany there is a big grocery store (name is something with "Frischecenter") that offers several types of English muffins. If you're interested, I could give you directions.

Bye,
Barbara
They're widely available in French supermarkets too, if you're closer to the French border. I even found some Hovis fruit scones in Auchan last year (but they must'nt have been popular enough to keep stocking them).
