English Muffins?

Anybody know where I can find English Muffins?
I tried Jemoli, Globus, and Coop. I thought I saw them somewhere along time ago but I'm coming up with nothing now...

Thanks!

Re: English Muffins?

Alas, my search has also proved fruitless. I miss English muffins. Can somebody please help us with where to find them?

I tried to explain what an English muffin was to a German friend the other day and I just could not get the point across. I don't even know how to explain them, other than delicious.

Just to clarify, muffins are fruitless!! You might be confusing them with Scones.

Re: English Muffins?

Are you serious? I said the search was fruitless, you know opposite of fruitful

defn:
useless; unproductive; without results or success.

Or did we just have a complete sarcasm failure?

Just a sarcasm failure. You must not have seen Hugh's riffing on the furnished apartment thread. He's clearly on a sarcasm high today.

Re: English Muffins?

Quote from the Urban Dictionary:

MUFFIN

Can be used after swear words to make them less severe. The seriousness of the explietive and the sheer niceness of the word "muffin" cancel each other out, and the recipient of the full phrase will know that the explietive is not being used entirely seriously.

You just ate the last ice cream, you complete and utter cuntmuffin!

BRILLIANT!!!

Re: English Muffins?

Hello

My husband just discoved English muffins here a few weeks ago. We live in Basel, and close to the border in Germany there is a big grocery store (name is something with "Frischecenter") that offers several types of English muffins. If you're interested, I could give you directions.

Bye,
Barbara
