| | | Dark, sweet, non alcoholic beer
My little son used to drink back home dark, sweet, non alcoholic beer.
He misses it so much.
Do you know if I can find this kind of drink here? how would it be called?
Cheers

Cheers | | | | | Try the alcohol free Panache/Biltz (available in every grocery store/gas station) might taste similar.
There is also a drink called Malta (containing Malt) available in most ethnic stores as well.

Check the following link to the shop 'Drinks of the World', located in Zurich hauptbahnhof and various other locations: http://www.beerworld.ch/
I also love and miss a dark, sweet, non-alcoholic malt beer. So far this (Karamalz) is the closest I have found here in Switzerland. Hope it is to your sons liking!

Thanks! | | | | | I saw A&W Root Beer at the Coop here in Basel. It was where the cold beer and sodas are shelved.

Thanks! | | | | | Simple question: Have you actually looked for it at a local drinks shop? A short look at Rio (a chain mainly in Zurich) shows that they have it... http://www.rio-getraenke.ch/index.php
(Karamalz is another brand than Vitamalz but the same stuff. Six bottles 6.95 CHF...)

Karamalz can be found a lot around Swiss Germany borders. We always drive to Konstanz to buy them along with other cheap things... | | This user would like to thank tooniii for this useful post:

The little boy (6 YO) enjoyed it, said it has a texture like the Israeli one, and "it feels a bit more alcoholic on the tongue"
I wonder where on earth did he hear those words from...
