Advise on starting a kiosk business in Zug/Lucern

Hi all,

I am an Australian looking at starting a kiosk business in either selling sausages or Asian takeaway food either in Zug or Lucern train station. I am just wondering if someone can assist with:

1. What are the requirements in terms of health and food handling certificate or licenses should I obtain?
2. Where do I obtain a course that enables me to obtain these certificates?
3. How much does these course cost?
3. What is the cost of starting a business? Currently, I have approximately AUD35,000 and looking at possibly coming over next April or May

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Many regards,

Peks

Hello (:

Unfortunately, I will have to admit that I am unaware of these requirements - perhaps contacting a legal firm or contacts would be best for this if no replies are given. However, in the mean time, I can provide you with a website link - " http://www.euromonitor.com/ " -- for your specific firm it would be found here " http://www.euromonitor.com/street-st...zerland/report ". They provide detailed market research (i.e. detailed trends, competition analysis and so forth) for specific consumer markets in specific regions of a country. Not sure whether this will be of any help at all but I wish you good luck!

David

Re: Advise on starting a kiosk business in Zug/Lucern

You don't ask the most important question.
As someone who has neither Swiss citizenship nor EU sitizenship, will I be able obtain a work permit?

You also don't ask the second most important question.
Will I be allowed to set up a stall in Zug or Lucerne train station once I have a work permit and a permit to sell food to the general public? How do I get authorisation from SBB, and a rental contract, given that there are several other stalls already doing what I intend to do and likely protected by non-compete clauses?

No use getting into the details of the "Food Handling" course until you have these sorted out.
