Yes, I've seen one in Oerlikon but I don't know the address. But if you take the train to Oerlikon, get on tram 10 or 14 towards the city and get off at Salersteig (2 stops). You will have passed it on the right-hand-side, before getting to this tram stop. So when you get off, you will have to walk back a bit.

I'm hoping someone would be able to help out here with the address? It's around the corner where laughing lemon give their cooking classes.

There is another store at Schmeide Weidikon (Tram No. 14, 9, Bus number 33)- opposite to Migros, where you get a good variety of Indian vegetables, fruits, spices etc. The name of the shop is Barkat.

Also there is a SriLankan shop at Mannesseplatz -one stop from Schmeide Weidikon if you take Bus No. 33. Dont know the name of the shop - but its right next to Coop. Personally, I didnt quite like going there, coz the store has some fish smell - which I dont quite like! But I have heard that they have good variety of fresh fish. I am not a fish eater so cant comment on that - but you might wanna check it out. Of course you have the usual Indian/Sri lankan vegetables, spices etc as well.

BTW, they also have a branch at Letzigrund (Tram 2). Right at that stop.

This is available at the china-vietnam supermarket in Militär Str. Zürich. Jump off the 31 bus stop at kanonengasse, walk toward lang str. and you will find it on the right (approx. 5 shops down from the bus stop).... in summer open on a sunday as well, and this place has the biggest range of all things asian that i have seen in Zürich thus far.

A lot of mentions of Zurich here...but what about LAUSANNE?

Checked this place out. Certainly not the biggest range - the ones in neu affoltern(Thanh HungWehntalerstrasse 280 8046 Zürich) and near kalkbreite tram stops (New Asia MarketFeldstrasse 24 8004 Zürich)are a lot bigger.

Yes, it's close to the lights, across from a small migros. The closest by stop is for bus 62 and 32 - Neu Affoltern.

They've changed and added many things recently and I find that I have to ask for what I want now.

BTW - I got a surprise the other day when I found fresh rice noodles (kway teow/hor fun) at the asian place nr Oerlikon Bhf. It was gone very quickly though.

For those of you in Basel there is El Sol, which has recently moved to Allschwil, and has better parking than before. The selection isn't quite as good as El Maiz, but the important things like tortillas are available. The owner and employees speak excellent english. They'll also ship anywhere in Switzerland.

Its crazy the price difference for curry pastes, prawns etc compared to coop, globus, jemoli etc.
