Re: Sugar Free Hot Chocolate?

I know, I know she asked for sugar free, but I wasn't sure if it was because, as you pointed out, she needs/wants to avoid sugar or if it's more a matter of convenience (e.g., wanting to keep a few packets in her desk for a quick hot chocolate fix). Of course cocoa powder would fit the bill, but you know what a mess it can be and that it doesn't dissolve so easily, even in hot liquid, without a lot of stirring The offices I've worked in here all have milk, along with coffee and tea and oftentimes a microwave. If the OP has access to a microwave, she could easily heat up some milk in a bowl.

Anyway, it was just a suggestion, particularly as I have not seen packets of hot chocolate here and I personally am not a big fan of instant drinks because of the taste. Unless one is a diabetic, I know a number of diet plans and nutritionists allow (even recommend) dark chocolate, despite the trace amounts of sugar, for its health benefits -- all in moderation, of course

With proper prep (making sure ingredients are on hand), a microwave and a good mug, you could have a right proper treat instead of just hot chocolate.

Re: Sugar Free Hot Chocolate?

Incidentally. If you want hot chocolate, but have no sachets lying around then I can recommend my invention;

1 mug hot milk
1 heaped teaspoon Nutella
1 good glug of Ameretto

Not sure it count as sugar or calorie free though.
