Hi all,

Today at COOP I was handed 2 small stickers by the cashier. As my French is horrible I really didn't understand when she tried to explain what they were for. Thinking people here would probable be able to explain in English

Coop hands out these stickers to their customers so that the latter collect them and, once they have collected enough of them, they can go to Coop and exchange the stickers for some pre-determined household goods e.g. a set of plates or cutlery. The number of stickers you are handed depends on the value of your purchases. Have fun collecting!

As a general rule these items one collects for are crap. Stuff Coop couldn't sell at full price and off lots manufacturers and importers couldn't sell at any price...

Wrong we just bought 2 kappa rucksacks with the stickers coop doesn't sell them normally. Using the stickers you get unto 70% off the price

Right. We've bought stuff at Coop's discount that we actually threw away as useless Like their pasta pan...

LOL. There have actually been a few exceptions, I was very happy with their dish sets, it was very good quality if you ask me. The knives set was very good too.

When I arrived to Switzerland back in 2002 I regarded these stickers as a "grannies thing" so to speak. Now I always happily take them, despite the time it takes sticking them.

Ah OK thanks. The stickers I got had suitcases on them - where can I find information on what they will give me access to?

here's the thing

Suitcase 1 market price - 100 chf - on 70% sale - now for 30chf
Suitcase 2 market price -30 chf - not great quality

Suitcase 1=suitcase 2

Which one would you buy, by the way you don't need a case but its really cheap and you could need one in future.

I always wanted one of those 4-wheeled suitcases that is easy to push around on flat ground. Last week, using COOP stickers collected from friends, I got a set of 2 suitcases (including a smaller carry on 4wheeler) with price reduced to CHF79 from what seemed as CHF300+ that the cashier punched in as the original price. This was further reduced to CHF33 after the cashier found out I have CHF36 worth of points on my Coop Supercard. Got the suitcases, will travel.. *logs in to the airmiles rewards website*

Just a reminder that the deadline for redeeming the current Coop stickers for the "Kappa" luggage promo is Saturday, July 28th. These can also be put towards airmiles.

I've got 5 full sheets of stickers if anyone wants them plus 10 singles.

I understand from a Coop checkout representative, that several of their stores ran out of the empty sticker sheets a while back. I also have 7 empty ones if anyone is looking. (The St Annahof Coop store at Rennweg on the Bahnofstrasse in Zurich has loads by the way).

Does anybody know if the air miles are worth buying? I only found out recently you could use the stickers to buy these too.
