Pregnancy craving: slushee/slurpee

I'm craving one so bad its going to be the end of me.

Anyone in Zurich know where I can get one? Preferably orange/Fanta but at this point anything will suffice.

:-S

Re: Pregnancy craving: slushee/slurpee

Sorry, I don't know anything about specifics in Zürich, but check around some of the kiosks and such, a few I've seen here in Basel have slushie mashines.

Oh! Another place I've seen one is at Lolipop candy shop, I think there's one at the banhof in Zürich? I think that's probably a good bet.

Sorry, I also don't know about Zürich but our local swimming pool kiosk has them ... maybe the pool in Zürich do too... good luck! I know how you feel about the craving

Re: Pregnancy craving: slushee/slurpee

Easy...Kiosk at the top of the escalator to platform 1 & 2 has them (near the big waterwall underground thing in the train station). They have strawberry and blue.

If you want something closer to 'red' cordial then the lolly shop in the HB has them. They have three flavours - strawberry, blue and red 'fruit'.

I can also recommend buying gatorade or powerade or some other 'sports' drink, freeze them.

I had major crushed ice cravings during pregnancy - just don't do what I did and crunch whole ice...major dentist issue

The sweet shop on the limmatquai at the Helmhaus tramstop has a slurpee machine outside, never tried it but I'm sure it's as sweet and atrocious as what you're craving

I can't tell you how much it amuses me that 'blue' is a flavour. I like the blue flavour, but my favourites are 'loud' and if I'm really feeling adventurous, I like nothing more than settling down with a nice 'inquisitive'-flavoured slushee.

Just to reinforce what others have said, our local swiming pool has Slush Puppies. In red, blue and green.

Re: Pregnancy craving: slushee/slurpee

Freeze the Fanta and get a cheap blender at home
I make juice popsicles and they satisfy some weird cravings... But if you blend the pop with a bit of water you should get what you can get at the 7/11 at home

Good luck!

They also have them at "Sweet Candy" at the Glatt Centre, although I didn't notice if orange was one of the flavours on offer.

You should have sent your hubby to hunt them for you or was it that you just couldn't wait any longer?

Well this one was easy as I need to go through the HB to get home.

I figure it would be best to save the hubby requests for the difficult cravings....like KFC, which is in Stuttgart (just an example). I think it's illegal for your husband to ignore pregnancy cravings, right?

Re: Pregnancy craving: slushee/slurpee

The Lollipop stores (Niederdorf, Sihlcity, and Migros City) have them. Every once in a while, I also have The Craving and get one. (And I'm not even pregnant. Or female.)
