It is available in most Indian stores here but I do not like it... Because, they sell the powder which does nothing to enhance the taste and has a very mild smell.. From my experience, the cake form(dried and pressed) has a very strong smell and taste(like MSG) and is healthier too.. The smell of good asafoetida itself will make me water in my mouth..

You are 100% right pressed or dried is ideal but can it be bought anywhere in Switzerland ?
