I usually get this stuff from my local Coop. Is it not Greek yoghurt (well, proper Greek yoghurt)?

Most yogurts I've tried in Switzerland are quite liquid, as is this one if I remember correctly. Greek yogurt is much more thicker, almost like soft goat cheese. This means it has a far lower percentage of water, and, consequently, a far higher percentage of protein per weight.

I have found FAGE's famous Total Yogurt in some supermarkets in Lausanne, but I'm afraid I don't know much about your area.
If you find greek yogurt though, keep in mind that you can also freeze it in case it's not easily accessible.

You can also find Total in Manor, if there is one in Olten!

If you can find TOTAL by FAGE it would be great. I still haven't managed to find it in Zurich

Re: Greek Yogurt

I gave up trying to find decent yogurt in Switzerland years ago.

I ended up buying a yogurt making machine.

Now I make perfect yogurt on a weekly basis.

cheers

Re: Greek Yogurt

There is a Greek supermarket in Zürich's Niederdorf. It's called Läbis and is on Brunngasse, just off Hirschenplatz or just around the block from opposite Oliver Twist. They might have something that would fit the bill.

It's yoghurt. It's Greek. Therefore it's Greek yoghurt.

you need to look for YOGOS at Migros. that's the greek yogurt in natural flavor and you get a few more flavors in same brand.

Re: Greek Yogurt

Slighly off topic but... what about dips? A bit annoyed these are few and far between. I mean stuff like Humus, Tzaziki, Guacomole.

They have good Humus (at a reasonable price) in the jewish food section, but only in the really big Coop at Sihlcity. Migros next door has nada.

Any suggestions?

All you need is a bowl and a big hammer. Or something like that...

After all, it's Greek and Arab food, so it can't be that complicated.

I found Hummus at the Aldi in Pfäffikon, surprisingly very good and they have it with/in different flavours. The pumpkin hummus was outstanding (although i suspect it may be seasonal).
