Root Beer Available

Just if anyone is intersted, in this one department store in Germany I found Stars&Stripes root beer, produced in the US. 12 fl oz can for 1.50 Euros (that includes 25 cents deposit for the can which you have to pay in Germany). So I am rady to take your order now. Delivery would be coming Friday,

Re: Root Beer Available

Ahh, yes--Karstadt root beer. We have had threads on this precious American elixir before. Just a reminder--many Asian markets have them. The one in my neighborhood near Zurich sells Thai A&W cans for chf1.50. Near the Zurich Hbf there is also a Thai shop offering similar prices.

If off-brand is okay, the American food store in Geneva has 3-liters of generic root beer for like chf7. It tastes like any generic (Shasta, Safeway, etc) but might help a fix.

My small Coop has A&W all the time, you might want to check one near you. My son and I have Root Beer floats every once in awhile.
