I badly need to buy a special person a great Xmas gift. I've found out that she would like a Æbleskiver pan for Danish apple cakes.

Any suggestions on where to go - I'll have to find somewhere in AG, ZH or LZ - my plane leaves on Friday evening...

I once cornered a Dane I worked with to get his take on the Æbleskiver craze and maybe get his grandmas recipe only to get a look of WTF. Danes do eat them but it's apparently not as common as may be commonly perceived. I can recommend the nordicware Æbleskiver pan if you're heading to the US and will be near a Williams-Sonoma store.

They are tasty but take a lot of practice to get the technique.
