My first naans - brilliant

Namaste. Just made my first naans - using my Christmas present, a glazed pizza stone, and using Manjula's (www.manjulaskitchen.com) recipe. Excellent made with some yogurt. As Sapin taught me how to make chapatis when we had our big EF Indian food event late November - I'm all set.

Had one each with our beef curry at lunchtime - and a 'cheese on naan' for dinner

We've just had a nice curry at the Maharadjah in La Chaux-de-Fonds, miam.

Health warning: these can very easily turn into late night, impulsive, I'll-just-make-one, snacks.

Re: My first naans - brilliant

Off to IND tomorrow
Landing into Mumbai however, not Delhi, which is also the 'naan capital'. Try various stuffings in the naan - they taste great!

Re: My first naans - brilliant

I think that a few people on this forum should consider opening a restaurant, as their descriptions of the food they make cause me to drool.

Way to go, Odile!

Re: My first naans - brilliant

Zürich is pretty much a wasteland for Indian food. And the prices are out of this world!

Re: My first naans - brilliant

Naan is the beginners' level. Now add some garlic, onions, eggs, meat and fold it into a Wikipedia reference-linkMurtabak

(Had one for lunch today and simply love the stuff...)
