Hi There, just wondering if anyone knew of an English tea shop in Basel? you know the sort of typical English thing, where you can get a pot of English brand tea, and maybe some scones and jam!

Not Basel but Zurich - British Cheese Centre in the Viadukt market can sell you great tea, scones, jam and cream.

(And more importantly beer)

(And cheese - obviously)

I think the OP was actually looking for somewhere to go and sit down and have afternoon tea - sans sarnies by the sounds of it.

Mmmm... sounds good... but not heard of any yet. Maybe the three kings hotel as it's a posh hotel? If you are after great tea to purchase, there is a specialist tea shop on Spalenberg.
I'll keep following this post in case anyone else knows of one. In the meantime, perhaps a pop up restaurant is in the making?
