Re: The best Indian curry in Zurich?

Had a meal at the Tandoori BBQ tonight. OH, son and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We were the only ones there as it was quite early but was impressed at the amount of Reserved tables. Can understand why, the food was absolutely delicious .

Re: The best Indian curry in Zurich?

I would have been up for the cooking thing...but I'm in Liverpool that weekend. for Liverpool. For missing the first cook-up in the TB, hope there will be more.

Re: The best Indian curry in Zurich?

I would have loved to have joined too but sadly I also have plans that day I hope you all have a great time and keep us posted on if you are planning another cooking lesson. In the meantime I'm sure that we'll probably be popping in for another curry sometime soon

Hi

This place seems to have changed owners. It is now an Indian Restaurant, and I don't think that I will be able to hold off much longer , judging by the glorious Inidan aromas wafting from it as I get off at the end of the Tram 5.

Anyone fancy meeting up for lunch and reviewing it ? It's 30 yards from the end of the line on Tram 5, 5 minutes walk from Credit Suisse Uetlihof and 2 minutes walk from Brunau Park Shopping Centre.

Forget this place, same old same old. Limited buffet choices and 13 chuffs for a glass of luke-warm water (No bottle offerred) and a coffee.
17.50 for the buffet may seem cheap, but it is actually quite expensive. I won't be going back.

I'd like to join for dinner there. I'm a bit intrigued, what exactly is fun cooking? not planning to do that part, but just curious...

Re: The best Indian curry in Zurich?

my 2 pence worth...

I was at Khan a couple of weeks ago and I was not impressed by the food nor the service. I will have to try somewhere else when I'm free.

It's definitely not the worst but to say it's the best is going a bit far. It's very expensive and the vindaloo has no potato in it .

I'd rate the Tandoor BBQ better. Also the Tandoorhaus in Seefled.

Nope, I've been there twice greasy, salty and expensive, the Vulcan is better than Kings, but my fav' is the Tandoori. Has anyone feedback on the Massala restaurant?

EDIT. Love the sig' Mr Bob;-))

Re: The best Indian curry in Zurich?

ha! i totally disagree, don't care for vulcan's at all, but to each his own, i guess. are u sure you're not confusing king's for khan's?? cuz i find khan's extrmely salty and therefore garbage.

Re: The best Indian curry in Zurich?

Went for the lunch buffet at Kings Kurry few days ago - just bland and tasteless. It was something to fill the tummy thats all. Maybe the dinner is better?
But then if you ask me, none of the Indian places here to my liking. I have only liked the starters at most Indian places, the main course is usually nothing much to talk about, sadly. Went to Tandoori many moons ago - need to try it again I guess.
