Cafe New Zealand - Zurich

There is a cafe New Zealand on Langstrasse. I bike past it on my way to work. Im going to check it out tomorrow. Hopefully they have a decent flat white.
Anyone been here yet?

Had the best coffee Ive had in a long while today...
A silky smooth flat white, just like Im use to back home (Melbourne).
There is a sunny courtyard out back...

And they have the best view in Zurich...
It wont be long before its overrun with hipsters

Oh my goodness - Flat White coffee - I am so going there!

Last Sunday we went to see the Trummelbach waterfalls, (about 15km from Interlaken). The falls are near to a village called Lauterbrunnen, which is a base for tourists. The village was pretty much closed before the Spring/Summer tourist season gets underway: we were delighted to find a wonderful cafe called 'Airtime' - they also have an excellent Flat White and (small) but v good home made soups pies (I had chicken & mushroom pie).

Great stuff

Dropped by yesterday and can definitely recommend it. Cracking coffee and the pie was lovely. Warm welcome too. We'll be going back.

Hi, can't wait to visit Cafe New Zealand... you visited yesterday so obviously they are open in the weekends. Did you happen to note their weekend hours? We are a 2 hour train ride away so need to plan out our visit. Thanks so much.

Well, apart from the pies I have yet to try - it's just great to walk through the door and being welcomed in a friendly manner and with that distinctive NZ/AU accent!

All that's missing now is a bit of St. Kilda in the backyard defo a nice place to hang out or meet friends, bit thumps up!

Re: Cafe New Zealand - Zurich

Im sitting in Cafe New Zealand with a perfect flat white and a bacon and cheese muffin!!
They even have free WIFI.
Just asked the open hours and they are open.
0600 - 1800 Mon - Fri
0800 - 1800 Sat - Sun
365 days a year!

Apparently Cafe New Zealand has a deal with the backpacker hostel "Langstars" and after 1800 its a backpacker bar.

So far we have tried the pork, beef and the vege pie and they were all fantastic! The salad is good too and quite large, we found that one salad between two was perfect. And the coffee is better than anything else I've had over here, really good!
