In the front label they put an Italian brand, labeling in Italian, and a picture of a 19-century Italian gentleman.

Then on the back, in small characters, they say "blend of EU olive oils."
And another thing I just found out about Filippo Berio: in October last year, the Italian owners sold it to a food company from Shanghai.

The other big Italian olive oil brand, Bertolli, was sold years ago by Unilever to Deoleo, a Spanish group (owner also of Carbonell and Koipe, the two biggest domestic brands in Spain). However, British private-equity fund CVC (owners of Sunrise in Switzerland, for instance) very recently got a majority stake in Deoleo.

In that regard, the issue of nationality does seem to get a little diluted. As long as the oil itself doesn't...

We have a bottle of primadonna oil at home.

According to the label on the front it is a mix of Greek and Italian olives.
On the back it is Greek and Spanish.

As soon as I read "blend" on a label (of anything - honey in another culprit, so are juices and, of course, minced meat...), I assume that basically anything could have gone into that bottle.
