beer in COOP is CHF -.50 to CHF -.60 per 5 DL and so the same as in Denner and Lidl and Aldi and is to get down to -.40 to -.50 shortly
Back to the "if you shop in Germany" argument: beer in Lidl and other stores in Germany starts around €0.28 per 5 dL (that price for 5DL really would be a bargain). Not saying it's any good (I've never tried it), but no worse than Coop Prix Garantie beer (which I've also never tried), I should imagine.

Re: Food cost in Zürich?

the beers of LIDL DE and ALDI DE are the same as at LIDLCH and ALDI CH and quite good. I do not know why the crooks cheat their Swiss customers as customs duty is ZERO and the VAT much lower

Didn't you tell us it's all down to the high rents in Switzerland, Wolli?

Re: Food cost in Zürich?

For me, these two are the best:
The Bite at Brauerstrasse and the Korner at Gartenstrasse
