Squash/Juice

Hi all,

Does anyone know whether you can get the equivalent of a bottle of sugar free squash out here?
Many of the supermarkets close by (Ouchy region of Lausanne) sell Sirop, but from what I can gather it's absolutely tanked with sugar. Do the Swiss have an alternative?

Thanks!

Re: Squash/Juice

The Bider & Tanner and Orell-Füssli bookshops in Basel and ZH respectively stock Robinson's squash (and Ribena too, if that's your thing). I am not sure if they'll mail it to your part of the world though.

Re: Squash/Juice

Just about all squashes and syrups contain lots of sugar to preserve the fruit juice. You could either buy fresh fruit juice, or squeeze your own, adding water.

Re: Squash/Juice

Keeping things simple - both Migros and COOP do sugar-free/reduced sugar sirops.

Re: Squash/Juice

I've got a sugar free syrup ...... but it blew off in the wind, and now I'm back to a comb over.

Hi, you can get Ribena in the Coop in the Leman Centre in Crissier (they have a small section of British foods - it's opposite the tins of tuna and jars of mayonaise and mustard).
Alternatively, go to Jims in Gland (about 30 mins drive) for a wide range of British supplies: http://www.jims-british-market.com/?page_id=8
