| | | Quorn in Geneva/Switzerland in general
So, here in France, you can't buy Quorn, but I just noticed on their website that it's available in Switzerland.
If I was, say, to do a quick trip across the border (close to the Geneva end of the country), would any supermarket have some products or is it something I'll have to spend some time searching for.
...neeeeeed.....protein......

I have seen Quorn in almost every supermarket. Even some of the smaller ones. I live in Ticino but I'm sure it's the same near the French border.

Thank you both for the replies - you've made me a very happy April. I certainly didn't expect to find another thread about Quorn on here! Yay! I'll be doing a little detour next time I'm near the border. |

I love Quorn products! What a fantastic option for vegetarians who are fed up with tofu. I've cooked many different dishes with Quorn and guests had no idea they weren't eating meat. Also great for non-vegetarians, of course.

Hehe, yeah, I once fed some friends some Beanfeast because they didn't believe it could taste like spag bol. One was convinced it was meat-based!
I noticed last time I was in the UK that Quorn changed their roast recipe. I was horrified, but actually, it is really nice.

...neeeeeed.....protein...... | | | | | Most migros sell a decent variety of quorn. Never seen real quorn products in Co-op, instead it stocks a slightly different variety which is (in my humble, quorn-loving opinion) less palatable.

While I'm seeking out Quorn, I'm wondering if I can buy Haloumi cheese in Switzerland too. I really miss that stuff and I can't get it anywhere in Haute Savoie.
So, Haloumi. Can I buy it in the land of the Swiss?

| | | Re: Quorn in Geneva/Switzerland in general OH happiness!!!
I've introduced a few Frenchies to it. They called it "AlooMI" and they're all pretty much in love with it.
I'm feeling shopping-liberated!

Somebody travelling from France to Switzerland to go shopping and now feeling liberated?
What is this world coming to? What was in my coffee this morning? Or has the black hole caused by the latest CERN experiment created an alternate reality?
Normally people get the heck out of Swissieland to shop.
Weird. |

Actually, I have an overload of the stuff at my house and am having a BBQ on Saturday night in the hope that people will drink it. Boxes of the stuff! All brought for previous BBQs but never quite finished.
I'm not telling you where I live though |

And you do live in La Clusaz, France, right?

Heading there Wednesday for a day trip actually. By train. Boss refuses to pay for C150. |

Yes, I live in La Clusaz, but it's a big place and the only thing that would give away the BBQ is the smoke (but there will be more than one BBQ). Hah!
