Migros take away deals this month

Did you guys see this?

_3.50 CHF for one of those gigantaur slices! I know a number of Americans have complained about pizza here but the slices they have at Migros take away come closest, IMO and hubs', to NYC's. At 3.5 a slice, even the price comes close!
_5 CHF for half a roasted chicken! DUDE! Can't go wrong with roasted chicken. I think it's 10 CHF for a whole chicken.

I am so there everyday this month, I've been here nearly 3 years and I've never seen it this good!

Ok, happy eating!
L.

That's 10 francs for a tiny chicken covered in Aromat. No thanks.

Re: Migros take away deals this month

At my local Migros, it's 9.90 francs for a whole roast chicken. Looking at the price of frozen chicken in the same supermarket, 9.90 is a bargain.
And IMO, its very good. I've had much worse in pricey restaurants. A nice crusty bread, fresh salad, good french dressing to go with, very nice. 4 adults ate ourselves full on one of those 'tiny' chickens. And trust me, I can eat.

But do not buy the chicken in quarters, it works out more expensive. Buy either half or whole.

I also took away a pork rib, now that was bloody good too! Very good. Try it out.

Happy Eating.

I thought about grilling today too. My neighbours are out trimming their hedges already.

Am I the only person who can't stand the terrible orange marinade they put on everything here?

Re: Migros take away deals this month

Thanks for the tip Leylak. I tried one of these slices over the weekend. Remember this price is only for the Margherita, not for any of the other flavours / pizzas with more toppings. In the display, you'll get tempted by the more expensive ones.

For 3.50 a slice, it is very well worth it. But sorry to say, it tastes nothing like a NY pizza slice. I felt I was eating bread, not a pizza.

Re: Migros take away deals this month

The pizza slices seem to vary in size. The one I had at Migros Limmatplatz was big but at my local Migros take-away they are much smaller!

Re: Migros take away deals this month

I was in Migros Horgen yesterday and feeling peckish I remembered this thread. I tried a massive quarter slice of Margherita for 3.50 and I have to say it was pretty good with plenty of topping.

ye it costs only 9.90-- however most of the times it's quite greasy so
basiclly you can't eat the skin....
