Aigle wine fair

I realise this is short notice but I was driving through the village of Aigle this morning and noticed posters for a wine fair they are holding today from 10:00 to 18:00 in the old town. You buy a glass for CHF 15 and then wander around the stall of 17 Aigle wine producers to taste their selection of wines all for free. If you wish you can then order and they will post the wine to you. It's about 10 mins walk from Aigle gare.

Re: Aigle wine fair

Just staggered back from the wine tasting. If anybody's interested I particularly liked Vin blanc Chasselas Aigle "La Baudelière" Chf 14.5 from labaudeliere@bluewin.ch ; vin blanc Aigle "Les Cigales" chf 17.6 from Testuz www.testuz.ch and Rosé Oeil de Perdrix Chf 15.7 from Roul Moret www.moret.ch.
No reds blew my socks off.

The neighbouring village of Ollon has it's Spring wine tasting on June 6 and its main wine fair on September 12 to 13. http://www.vin-ollon.ch/
