Same place you get free beer.
Was that too harsh people?
On a serious note, in the supermarket. Try migro city in Zürich.

I searched, but I could only find discussion related to sliced bread, not about others

Yes, that is too harsh. Calm down a bit!

Anyway - I can't tell you about the JnJ baby wash, but everything else should be available in Coop or Migros. However, some of the smaller branches can sometimes be missing items which you might think should always be in stock.
  • sliced bread - usually in plastic packs near other bakery items
  • green cap fresh milk - I think you mean semi-skimmed pasteurised? It's usually called something like 'Milch-Drink' here. Make sure 'PAST' is on the label somewhere.
  • baked beans - not always stocked in the smaller stores, but the cans are the same colour when you find them
  • JnJ Baby Wash - dunno (see above)
  • 2 or 5 kg Rice bag - usually rice is sold in smaller packets here. For larger quantities it's better to go to one of the Asian supermarkets
  • Wheat Flour - should be available anywhere
  • Green Chillies - depends what you want. There are usually some kinds of chillies available in the vegetable section. For more specialised needs, go to an Asian shop or an outdoor market

Re: where to find these

sliced bread: Any supermarket. Look for 'toast' bread. It's foul.
green cap fresh milk: Haven't a clue what that is. 'Milch drink' is the reduced fat stuff, though: Available in every supermarket.
baked beans: Jelmoli or Globus. I'm pretty sure I've seen it in my local co-op, too. Look harder!
JnJ Baby Wash: ?
2 or 5 kg Rice bag: Indian shop on Langstrasse, Zurich
Wheat Flour: Any supermarket: Weizenmehl, or just Mehl. Look harder.
Green Chillies: Any Asian shop in Zurich, lots on Langstrasse

Alternatively, you could start eating more cheese and sausages...

Re: where to find these

sliced bread
green cap fresh milk - guessing this is low fat milk? Try Migros/Coop "Fettarm"
baked beans - IIRC Migros do these (own brand, not Heinz), I think "Spar" sell Heinz baked beans
JnJ Baby Wash - is this to wash baby or baby's clothes?
2 or 5 kg Rice bag
Wheat Flour = if you can't find the wheat flour in any regular supermarket, try http://www.rhonemuehle.ch/FormularMehl.php
Green Chillies

baked beans - Upstairs in the canned section at Coop in Zug. The big Coop, not the small one above Coop city. Heinz brand.

2 or 5 kg Rice bag - The Lauberhof mall in Zug, next to Metalli has an Asian Store. In Baar behind Mc Donalds you will find an asian/indian store where you can get ginger beer, PG Tips an even rent Bollywood movies

Green Chillies - Asian store in Lauberhof, Zug, or Thai shop behind the Coop in Zug, on Poststrasse.

JnJ Baby Wash - JnJ is rebranded as Pentathin (sp?) here. Comes in blue bottles and is sold in Coop.

Hope this helps

I've never seen food staples here. Are they to stop things falling off the plate?

Badabadabum

pappu has no particular reputation at present
Re: where to find these

I get all these from COOP/Migros, even the chillies. Did you go to COOP pronto, they have limited supplies. Otherwise as far as I have experienced most of the Migros/COOPs stock all that you mentioned even Basmati rice, if that is what you are specifially looking for. You cud find some Indian stores at a place close to yours and get the stuff you wish. There are many Indian stores in Zurich.

How often have you seen big bags of rice and green chillies in a supermarket here? Perhaps in Zürich.

As a big rice eating family, paying CHF 2.70 per kg in Migros is a rip off. As for the baby wash, maybe they are looking specifically for the JnJ brand because they know their kid doesn't get a reaction to it.

Re: where to find these

OP, if you have a car, drive to Otto's (round the corner from Aldi) in Cham for big bags of rice at a lower price.

A good alternative to J&J baby wash would be Millette, found at Migros.
