Re: insulated lunchboxes

Buy a wide necked thermos flask. You can get them from bigger Migros and Coop or any of the outdoor stores (Transa, Haijk, etc.)

Re: insulated lunchboxes

A Thermos flask made for food instead of drink.

P.S. If you've access to a microwave oven, just pop your microwaveable plastic lunchbox into it for a minute.

Re: Insulated lunchboxes

How big must a lunchbox be to qualify for the Housing in General area?

Insulated lunchboxes are available but likely only in camping/trekking/outdoor sports shops. I don't know how they're called in Geneva. To give you an idea, here's the link to the Isosteel and Isosteel Maxi boxes from Spatz.ch.

Re: Insulated lunchboxes

Migros and Coop have both come out recently with these kind of round insulated boxes. Looks like they are for soups or rices or whatever...
Try in the household department of a larger Coop (City or Geneva equivalent) or in a larger Migros.
In Zurich I've seen them in the one at Kreuzplatz and the Bellevue Coop, next to the thermos flasks.

Be careful, Mr Nathu. 'Lunchbox' can be miscontrued in the bl**dy English language.

Re: Insulated lunchboxes

Thank you for enriching my slang vocab, Ms. argus. However I fear that Spatz' offerings don't include lunchboxes of this kind.
