Your best italian espresso in Lausanne

I have decided to start this thread after being unable to drink a real Italian espresso without going all the way to Italy.

With some many Italians living here I wonder if you could tell me where do you enjoy your best espresso? And by that I mean the very short slightly creamy shot.

Thank you

Swiss espresso's tend to be a little on the large size, try asking for a ristretto maybe.

The closest thing I've had to the real deal is at Les Enfants Terribles in Geneva. Other than that my Italian boss swears by Nespresso of all things.

Also there's a real italian restaruant (St. Paul) at the St. Paul bus stop.

Re: Your best italian espresso in Lausanne

thank you, I will try the ristretto option. I had a great one yesterday at Cafe de Grancy in case anyone is interested. I love the social aspect of having a coffee, although getting a nespresso machine is an option as well.

Is St Paul in Lausanne?

Thanks for your replies

Yes, Restaurant St. Paul is on the St. Paul bus stop, not far from the Children's Hospital and Parc de Valancie (sp?).
