eating in bed...

excellent thread going on here about supper

so as not to derail it, as some were discussing eating things in bed...i'd like to start one about what you eat in bed

i'll start by saying i never enjoyed breakfast in bed as i am too anal about toast crumbs (i hate finding crumbs in bed....) so that rules out crisps, bicuits etc...

but i'll have ice cream in bed

Re: eating in bed...

my husband and i recently decided that from now on we will have a big breakfast in bed on friday mornings because we have the whole morning together and we do laundry that day! other than that i am not really into eating () in bed.

Re: eating in bed...

My learned companion has asked me not to mention lard in this thread. Not at all. Not a single reference to the use of lard in bed whatsoever.

So I shall respect her wishes by not mentioning lard in this thread about foodstuffs in bed.

word.

i just remembered an incident, it was new years eve and as with many past NYE i've never quite made it till midnight (too sloshed)
on this particular NYE, i woke up in someone's bed (it was student digs) with an ice cream all down my shirt and in between the sheets - apparently i had decided to take a cornetto to bed to wait until the countdown - didn't quite work out as planned....

I'm not going to mention lard.

Lard in bed, that is.

I'm sure I can mention our use of lard in other contexts, though.

Re: eating in bed...

Cup of tea and a little box of Sprungli "Truffes du Jour" on the odd occasion everyone is out for the evening.

No fuss, no mess, no crumbs but any chocolate smears take some explaining...

Re: eating in bed...

We are very happy that you have kept the use of lard in bed within the walls of you bedroom, Dougal's Breakfast. It is a real shame when such details, such as out of the norm consumption of lard are openly and publicly discussed. I am really proud of you, DB, and I am sure Mathnut is also very happy about your discretion.

Well! I don't mind telling you, my fella and I have been having quite a variety of Revels in bed lately. It's nice, isn't it, a bit of variety. Although we do seem to keep coming back to the same favorites! But then I suppose most couples do, don't they?

Malt for him, orange creme for me...
