Burnt sugar honeycomb cake (Malaysian), cake balls a la bakerella.com and olive crackers (invented because I found a pack of black olives in the pantry about to commit harakiri):

Dear EF friends,

Wish you all a happy new year 2012.

Here is the new year delight. Gulab Jamun (Dessert) and Bhel puri (Popular Indian street food).

Bhel Puri is famous street food made with puffed rice, flavoured with mint chutney and sweet and sour tamarind chutney.

Re: Post photos of what you cook and bake in Switzerland

Hello Checkoutmails,

"Bhel puri", I'm sure I've eaten this delicious street food at the world market in Oerlikon. There was a stall run for charity and I always looked forward to eating there. Unfortunately the spot they had disappeared when the Mexican restaurant took over and claimed the space for their outdoor eating area.
I live in hope that they find another spot.

Thanks. I'll replace the chicken in Chicken Rendang with tofu or tempeh and cauliflower.
