Made this cranberry cake for a get together tonight. Modified the ingredients a bit and messed up on the icing but it was my first attempt with this kind of icing!

I'm still new enough that I'm not homesick, so I've been trying my hand at Swiss specialties! Here's Nüsslisalat mit Speck und Ei.

I made Sauerbraten with homemade klöse last week. The gravy turned out a little funny, but tasted ok.

Vegan meat?! An oxy-moron? What is it really made of? I can never understand mock meats in a vegetarian's diet; thought the whole idea was to avoid meats.

Can i be your friend?

Question: What would you recommend for roast pepper fillings? Im thinking rice with mushrooms and onions but im sure you will have some great ideas to make it more interesting. Pine seeds maybe?

Yes, red onions, mushrooms, herbs of Provence, brown rice (or cooked red quinoa), crushed garlic and fresh parsley chopped, maybe a little lemon juice
and a small sprinkle of Tamari Sauce or Soy Sauce.

And yes, you can be my friend

Yes. I'm surprised you can't find it. I've never had a problem buying brown rice. Maybe sub-contiously you don't want brown rice.
