I was invited to an indian lunch by an indian chap today. We ordered from www.bestcurry.ch.

The food was good, copious and delivered in time for lunch at a very reasonable price.

It could have been a little more spicy, but then again, I'm a hardened curry muncher.

Anyway. I'd order again. That's probably the best recommendation you could wish for.

They do a curry night every Tuesday night in Lady Hamilton above The Nelson pub

I'm asking probably what is a stupid question... but how does one order lunch with these people?

Yup. I've been to a curry night at the pub and it was great. Spoke to Preety (the chef/proprietor) and her husband and they're doing a great job. It's informal in a pub, comfortable and relaxed with many pints and a rich curry.

It used to be once a month but now it's on every Tuesday.

I had an Indian cooking lesson from Preety who runs best curry a few years ago, the food was brilliant & she is a great teacher. I highly recommend the food.

I agree to the above comments. Been to the Lady Hamilton event couple of times and never disappointed. Good quality food and variety.

Do we know what region the cooks are from? i.e. what are there specialities? I wonder if they'd be willing to put together a regional menu?

That looks excellent. I notice on the menu that you can select the spice level that you prefer.

I was on their website and I did not see anything about upcoming curry nights. Do you know if it is every Tuesday? Also, if someone has been there before, what are their prices like?

Their food is North Indian, predominantly Punjabi. PErfect

Prices for the buffet are between 25 - 30 francs per person.

Its every Tues night at Lady Hamiltons, next to Nelsons Pub and cost I think Sfr29. I havent tried the food but we went once and found that the buffet was right in the middle of the pub, so it was not separated, so was pretty dark and smokey. I'd try it if the buffet was at another venue.

Just want to add that they had a stall at the Expat-Expo in Zug on Sunday (they are now offering delivery in Zug) and I had 2 plates of pakoras for breakfast. Absolutely delicious and the people are really nice with it too.
