Dear All,

When shopping in Jelmoni on Saturday, I was disappointed to discover that they have removed Irn Bru, infact their soft drink range seems to have dwindled.

For those of you who might be wondering what Irn Bru is, it's a Scottish soft drink http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irn-Bru which some (including me) state that it does wonders for a hangover, but is also pretty tasty.

Does anyone know anything about this? I know Brit Shop stocks it, but kind of liked having a source in Central ZH. My German is too poor to ask what happened to it to any of the staff...sorry.

I'm a great believer in Lucozade Original. Always works for me.

Irn Bru is brilliant for a hangover

Anchovy paste on hot buttered toast with a soft poached egg on top with coffee. Then back to bed with something warm, soft and blond.

Edit: sorry Scottish Lady - back on topic - I'll be seeing Jelmoli later in the week and ask, it may just be a seasonal thing - too many xmas goods to display

Or just stay there all day.

be the Holunderblüte variety) that is remarkably reminiscent of IB,
but without a girder in sight!

Thanks for the replies. Still no news on the Irn Bru front, but I am going back to Scotland tomorrow (if I make it back thanks to the weather) so will stock up a wee bit to keep me going. I must have missed it in the bookshop in Bahnhofstrasse today, I just saw crisps and shortbread... Merry Christmas

Lucozade is the one for hangovers.

When I came back fro UK yesterday I brought Irn Bru AND orange lucozade...will need something for tomorrow!
