| | | New chocolate anyone?
Has anyone ever tasted this new chocolate and if yes, is it good and is it worth buying? http://www.nibchoc.com/
As far as I can see it's only available in UK and Eire, but who knows...

It has the word "organic" repeated 6 times in the ingredients + some other fancy letters. It may be good, but I see it mostly as another way to make money and artificially construct a niche on the chocolate market.
I'll take my words back if this chocolate costs as a chocolate.

It looks suspiciously like something in healthfood shops in the mid-80s,
called a "Carib Bar" or something very similar to that, and was also billed
as a healthy substitute for chocolate.
It looked, shall we say, "interesting", it smelled heavenly, it tasted foul,
and in texture was comparable to eating a piece of hessian sack that
had been dipped briefly in weak coffee.

Surely a person who required their almonds to be organic would also require their pecans to be similarly so? This sounds like a scam...live manuka honey and goji berries and nuts all in chocolate? rubbish.

Then the taste is close to...I don't know anything unpleasing like fish mixed with orange peel...
I even tried to mash them a bit and mix them with juice, but you better "swallow them" quickly, as they are still quite horrible...
The might be healthy but they ain't taste good!!

They actually say about many of their ingredients to be originating from Peru. Which is nice And I hope they pay for it a fair price | | This user would like to thank Natachika for this useful post:

At £2.10 (CHF3.50) for a 55g bar I wouldn't call it cheap. I think that it is cashing in on being a bit different. It doesn't look particularly appetising to me.
If anyone is really desperate to try it, I could probably bring some over to Zurich at Christmas. One of the stockists is not far from me.

Hi again,
Sis said she had ordered some and she's a bit of a chocoholic, so I trust her verdict... I shall keep you posted But yes, I do agree, from the very first home page, I also thought, yuck, that does NOT look appetising in the slightest.. we shall see..

Tried that but it was just too runny.. really enjoy the Lindt with orange filling though. Currently am looking for good quality cooking chocolate. Ye can forget anything from the Migros and Coop, will see if I can get something in Zürich tomorrow. I mean good quality that makes the chocolate cake JUST that bit more special..
I shall do a search on that one though, before getting a slap on the wrists by the mods....
