Pies Pies Pies

Like any Yorkshireman I appreciate a good pie after a long day in the fields or whilst stood on a cold terrace watching my team. One year, and with this in mind, a good friend of mine saw fit to give me a pie gift voucher for my birthday...whilst I appreciated the sentiment, and flexed my birthday smile, I was hoping for slightly more...

It was only then when I went to this website that I fully realised what a great friend I had, and just what my life was missing all these years...

I ordered them in the UK, not sure about delivery to Switzerland - the life span of a quality pie probably won't last the trip...

Still, they are opening a shop in London, and will be there next weekend, so I take some pics!!

Pieminister pies are ok. Don't overcook them, as many of the pubs they supply do.

In London, Canteen's pies are good.

The best and most unusual one I've ever had was rook pie, at St John.

BTW - Zürich's Pie Shop supplies Globus, if you're feeling lazy.

Re: Pies Pies Pies

Thanks for posting the pie shop link, you maybe just won them a return customer. I went once before, but they served up a bit of stew, placed a bit of dried pastry on top and called it a pie. The offerings on the website look much more attractive.
