Re: Breakfast habits - pls share what you eat

If I am bringing breakfast to others, I usually make carrot muffins (leaving off the frosting), with raisins and / or cranberries added.

Ideal:
Any of the gloriously delicious regional Indian breakfast options (Idli, Dosa, Vada, Uthappa, etc.) with Sambar + Chutney + Madras filter coffee or Crunchy Rice Flakes or Simple egg + Toast

okay, gotta stop dreaming!

WOW - You have to plan a Brunch event/invitation one day. Sounds fantastic and reminds me of our honeymoon in Kerala a few years back.

* * *

Most mornings I have:

As I like my breakfast hot, I prefer porridge or semolina, with a glass of milk - and something sweet afterwards. Or Birchermüesli

Made this for some friends the other day and they had a ball :-) really yummy, but this menu is more a brunch for us now or sometimes even dinner

Since I got my C-Ausweis, it's coffee and gipfeli for me... when I get my passport I'll also smoke a cigarette and complain about something...

Re: Breakfast habits - pls share what you eat

I tend to just have fruit for breakfast on weekdays. On weekends my favourites are:

- A egg fried in butter with balsamic on toasted zopf
- Breakfast tacos, with supplies from El Mais
- Chorizo with scrambled eggs and Cholula
- A full English-gone-Swiss . . . eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, sausages from Hornecker, speck and a rösti.

Also banana milk with honey or unpasteurised cloudy apple juice

It depends, today was a swig of diet coke and a bite of once cooked, twice re-heated pizza.

Re: Breakfast habits - pls share what you eat

Breakfast on the go:

Make-Ahead Banana Oatmeal Breakfast Cookies

All sorts of "good for you" stuff in there, from wheat germ to apple sauce, some peanutbutter, bananas and of course oatmeal. (Probably not very low in calories but I think Breakfast is not the time to skimp on that... better to get your day started "right" and skip dessert after dinner.)
