Understatement of the century I miss yum cha and chop chop noodles etc.... roast duck, rice and plum sauce.

There is an excellent chop-chop takeaway/cheap dinein at Brunngasse Bern in the old town map here.

It's just past the Restaurant Zimmerman (towards) the bear pits end of town / away from Bahnhof end. Two people can eat well for less than 40CHF with appetiser and a bottle of Coke. Owner is Chinese. Enjoy - report back.

There's also a Swiss Asia Market in Ostermundigen with a takeaway restaurant attached. If you take the nr. 10 bus to Ostermundigen and get off at Zollgasse, walk a little further in the same direction as the bus and you'll find it next to Denner. I think they have a "decent" range of Korean, Japanese, Chinese ingredients. I generally only go there for Korean ingredients as larger establishments like Ah Chau and TNT (both on the same bus 17 route to Köniz) have much more to offer. I often find that going to Loeb Lebensmittel is enough for me to get by once I have the pantry staples and basics.

When I REALLY crave specialty Japanese/Korean ingredients I take a deep breath and haul my ass all the way to Zurich for them.

I am myself however Malaysian and I make do with whatever Thai/Vietnamese/Indian stuff I can find here in Bern, plus care packages from home. Rarely eat out though... I find the quality of Asian cuisine in Bern not worth my francs. Apparently Zurich is a complete other matter... not that I've actually tried any of the restaurants there.

As far as I know, the only bubble tea place in Switzerland is in Lausanne.

It is called Kony, and is at 1, ave de Beaulieu. About three bus stops from the station.
