I have heard people refer to European Culture as that of 2 regions the Wine or the Beer culture regions.

Do you notice any differences between the two cultures or is it just a drink thing? And which do you think Switzerland is?

Depends what part of Switzerland, the Italian and French speaking do belong to that "wine culture", the German part less so although it does not seem to have a develloped beer culture either.

Germany is a beer culture place, so you would assume German speaking Switzerland would be too...just doesn't seem to have worked out like that. I guess its due to the beer not being up to the same standards as in Bavaria.

I believe you're asking about the alcoholic tendancies of the regions of Switzerland?

Romandie - more French-influenced therefore enjoying fine wines
Ticino - again, Italian-influenced and thus enjoy fine wines with a distinct tendancy towards red
Germanic region - could be considered 50/50 in my opinion.
